Why Hire a Professional Photographer?

I, and many of my fellow professional wedding photographers got tagged in a Facebook post yesterday.  Someone had their wedding photographer cancelled on them! 🙁 

I’m not sure who the photographer was, nor whether they are a professional or not.  But, I’d like to point out, that I am part of a wedding photography group in South Wales, where we have grown to be great friends, and we’re more than happy to cover each other when the worse happens.

I’ve covered a wedding for a photographer friend of mine, where they had a family emergency, and I’m sure they’ll cover for me too.

Luckily for me, I’ve never had to call upon anyone.  I’ve even turned up to a wedding where I was extremely ill, because I wanted to photograph their wedding for them.  It all turned out well.  But if I wanted cover, I have no doubt, another professional photographer would have my back.  I’d make sure that I’d have everything sorted before contacting my clients, so they wouldn’t have to worry either.

Unfortunately, I was unable to cover this wedding, as I was at Nicole and Phil’s Wedding in Brecon, I know a lot of photographers were tagged in this post, so I’m sure this couple would have had a photographer to step in and help out.
