Louise and Dom | Manor Park Country House Wedding
As a wedding photographer in South Wales, it’s always a pleasure to cover local wedding venues like the Manor Park Country House in Swansea, South Wales, as it’s so close to home and have shot at this wedding venue quite a few times. I was asked to cover the ceremony only, so no Bridal Preparation shots this time, but that’s ok, as it gives me time to be creative with everything else whilst I’m waiting for the guests to arrive.
Say cheese!! Check out the 5-tier cake.. except it’s not cake, it’s 5 different types of cheeses!! This is a wedding I would love to be a guest at 🙂 Anyway, with time on my hands, I decided to set up my off-camera flash to light up this beautiful wedding cake (I’ll call it a cake for simplicity), I could smell the freshly baked bread too, my mouth was watering, but I had to focus on the job at hand! For those who want to know the technical details, it was lit with a Godox V860 in a Rogue Flash Bender and triggered with a pair of Yongnuo 622’s, taken on a Canon 70-200mm IS II f2.8, because I love the compression on this lens.
With Dom being in the Navy, it was a nice change to photograph a Groom in uniform, with all the medals and shiny swords too! As soon as the ceremony had finished, the sun came out for this awesome couple! It had been dull and grey up until now, result!
We took a walk around the gardens, and just had to make use of the autumn leaves, we had plenty of time for the bride and groom portraits, so we had a great variety of photos for Louise and Dom, I was really pleased with the results, and I’m sure they were too!
