Snow

Early December, on my way to Craig Y Nos Castle, and it was snowing! It snow’s rarely enough here in South Wales, but to be snowing on a wedding that I’m photographing! Amazing! I was so looking forward to getting photographs on the newlyweds in the snow!

Ceremony

With such a beautiful ceremony over, it was time to walk back down the aisle to some snow confetti! The snow may have stopped outside, but it was carrying on inside. I especially loved the fact that Helen and Mansel decided to have a dance at the bottom of the aisle, a spur of the moment decision too!

Freezing

A big shout out goes to all the guests for braving it out in the cold! I usually get all the group shots inside the theatre after the welcome drinks, but this time, it was already set up again for Craig Y Nos’ next wedding, so it was a no go area… with not much room, I kindly asked all the guests to round to the court yard for the big group photos. It was so cold! So thank you guys for braving the cold!

Portraits in the Snow

With the snow falling quite heavily at times, it was only right to get a photos of them in it! It did take a few attempts, as every time we went out, it decided to stop snowing! We did eventually get a few romantic photos outside in the snow, result!

With the younger staff leaving early in case they were snowed in, I was offered a place to sleep in case I couldn’t make it home, but there was no chance of me leaving early, as I needed to get the first dance photos. Nothing to do with me sleeping in a haunted castle – honest!
