Swansea Wedding Photographer
What an absolute pleasure it was to have been asked to photograph Mel and Ozzy’s wedding at the Swansea Waterfront Museum, why? Not only because it was such an amazing wedding venue to photograph, but the Brides mum was one of the SCBU nurses to look after my premature son Saxon, he’s ok now, and has even had a Cake Smash Photoshoot. But enough of him, and more about this awesome Bride and Groom!
As with every wedding, I make sure I leave in plenty of time, in case of traffic or any other unforeseen circumstances, as a professional wedding photographer, it’s extremely important to have backup plans for everything! So I turned up at the Brides house in plenty of time, only to find out, she’d given me her home address, where the Groom was getting ready, and she was at her mum’s house – oops! So a quick phone call, and she was around 30 minutes drive away. So it was a good job I turned up early, otherwise, I would have had less time to document the Bridal Preparations!
Turning up at her mum’s house, my eyes immediately on the gorgeous stairwell with massive windows bringing in natural and soft light, perfect place to hang a wedding dress!! I loved the fact how easy going and calm the bride was, it made it so much easier to get some amazing wedding photographs for her.
So once we had all the Bridal Preparation photos done, it was off to the Lifepoint Church in Uplands, Swansea. My first wedding I have covered where the ceremony was streamed live onto a massive screen – love it! Speaking of things I love, I loved the fact that there was a live band playing at the ceremony, how amazing! If I didn’t have my camera with me, I would be enjoying the music!
It was a pleasant change parking right next to the entrance of the Swansea Waterfront Museum, I would normally have to park quite far away as a visitor 🙂 This made things so much easier, as I had my Godox 360 with me, not to mention the rest of the lenses and stands etc. As usual, it was a pleasure working with a couple who had plenty of time and all the trust in me to get their wedding captured professionally, as it enabled me to get such a variety of wedding photographs for the bride and groom… I could have spend so much more time there though, as Swansea Waterfront Museum having so many opportunities for photos!
It was time for their wedding breakfast, so sadly for me, as much as I loved to have stayed, it was time to leave. Thank you to Mel and Ozzy for trusting in me to capture their day!
