So Organised
When Kaye first enquired about her wedding with Jason, we met up for a consultation that went so smoothly and quickly, it was hard to believe, Kaye had everything organised, and what she didn’t, knew exactly what she needed! It turned out that she used to be an events organiser! No wonder she was so organised for her wedding day, no stress whatsoever.
No Pictures Please
Jason, the Groom hated having his photos taken, so I had to make the photos are quick as possible. With my documentary style of photography, it was easier for Jason, as I needed to get photos of him getting ready at Groom Preparations. So most of the photos were taken with him looking away from the camera. I spent 5 minutes tops with him for his getting ready photos, and I’m very pleased with the results 🙂 Thanks to Farhana Ali for her years of experience of working with photographers!
Bridal Prep
Kaye, the Bride, wasn’t too keen on her photos either, so a lot of the photos for her bridal preparations were also staged, and didn’t take long to photograph either. So when Bride and Grooms tell me they don’t want to spend ages on their photos, I’m able to get the shots quickly and hassle free, I’m too laid back to boss people about!
Ceremony
My first time shooting the ceremony inside the reception room. I do like the conservatory, but we were never going to fit 150+ guests in there! Thanks to Harmony Event Hire for making the room absolutely stunning, and Ceri Evans for the wonderful display of flowers too.
Groups
Wow… this was fun! Or was it hardwork rounding 150+ guests up for photos? Guests kept on disappearing, but it’s a good job I’m happy with raising my voice lol… and thanks to the Users and Bridesmaids for gathering guests too!
Portraits
With the couple not wanting to make too much of a fuss for photos, we popped around the corner to the gardens for some quick portraits. After a few clicks, the Groom wanted to go already! Oh no! The first few clicks, I was just testing the exposure and camera settings! So I managed to get their portraits finished in about 15 minutes, that’s including banter with the spa clients too! lol.
Magic
Once the speeches were over, guests were in awe with Phil Jay’s close up magic, I’ve seen Phil perform a few times, and I’m still in awe with the rest of the guests.. even after seeing the same trick again! Get in touch if you’re looking for a magician!
First Dance
Not every wedding is the same, and this one, along with a few other weddings, did not have a first dance.. so it was candids and more magic for me!
