Jodie and Ricky | Stradey Park Hotel, Llanelli
This was my first wedding where my bride had her make-up done outside, that’s how amazing our Welsh weather has been lately! It’s was a good day to live in South Wales!
Burry Port
Once again, it was a short trip down the road to Burry Port in the morning, it was a nice change to be able to use my Canon 70-200mm IS II for some bridal preparation shots with all the room outside! With the bridal preparations done, it was time to make our way to the church down the road. As usual, it was a beautiful ceremony – I just love weddings!! Who doesn’t, right?
Creative Wedding Photographer
During our wedding consultation, Jodie and Ricky had a little debate on whether or not to have their photos at Burry Port Harbour, because of all the clutter and the cafe etc all around the harbour. Being a professional wedding photographer, I have to deal with situations that is less than ideal for great photos, but having the expertise. Having the ability to make the most of the situation, I’ve even taken wedding photos in a cycle path, back of a lane with bins etc… check out that wedding in Llanelli! Anyway, so after the shots with the great beach scenery in the background, it was time for something different. Reflections are amazing, so I had to get a photos of the couple with a puddle with them reflecting upon it, even if it was in the middle of a busy footpath full of holiday makers! Scroll down to see the photos 🙂
Wedding Reception
Later, the wedding reception was at the gorgeous award winning Stradey Park Hotel in Llanelli, they hold so many weddings there every year, so I always try to get something different from other photographers, I try to push myself and get better at every wedding, and as a result, the Bride and Groom get amazing wedding photography in return… check out the feature image above. A fellow South Wales wedding photographer told me about it, showed me his shot, and although his photo was amazing, I didn’t want to copy it, so I ended up with the above, let me know what you think 🙂
Thanks Jodie and Ricky for being amazingly fab at time management, they had their first dance dead on time, so I didn’t hang around waiting for them at all… or should I be thanking the Wales V England game? Only joking guys, happy to wait for everyone until they’re ready!
