I often get asked to photograph newborn babies, and in the past, I’ve chosen to decline the job, as I know there’s a lot of photographers out there who are a lot better than me, and they do it extremely well too! So I refer to my fellow photographers in South Wales.
But being a father of three boys, and I love my boys, it’s sometimes very hard to say no, especially if it’s a friend who’s asking too! So when Isabella’s parents asked me to shoot their week old baby, I simply could not refuse!! After all, I get to have cwtches with a tiny baby that’s oh so cute, and give her back at the end of it! No nappy changes, no night feeds, no nothing, except cwtches and rocking them to sleep!
So I was told that Isabella is mostly awake, but having the experience, I know all the moves to get baby to be sound asleep! I brought all my studio lights with me, but after a few shots, I opted for the large window for some beautiful natural soft light instead, and absolutely love it!
I’m pleased to say, her parents loved the photos of her, here’s a few selected photos for you to see 🙂
