Elizabeth and Peter’s Wedding
Hair and MUA | Janet White-Ashby & Co
When Elizabeth first enquired about her wedding photography with me, I got so excited! What? Photograph a wedding in a Lighthouse?! Of course I would! I love different, and so this was an opportunity not to be missed! With the light house being so small, I was determined to get something different from other photographers.
And after posting the feature image on facebook , other wedding photographers liked my image, not just because it was a beautiful photo of the couple, but also because it was different, and they’d not seen something like that done before – result!
Elizabeth and Peter only wanted a short coverage, of the wedding ceremony only. So it was a short day for me. I decided to turn up early to see the lighthouse and to confirm where I was allowed and not allowed to go, the owner was so helpful it made everything that much easier.
I must admit, it was pretty tiring going up and down those windy stairs all the time whilst carrying all my cameras and lenses, but it was definitely worth it.
Ceremony
The ceremony was intimate, with only a handful of people. As Elizabeth walked up the stairs and into the room, all eyes were on this stunning bride, I could just see the love in the grooms eyes as he looked over to his wife to be. Such a beautiful wedding here at Nash Point Lighthouse, South Wales.
Cliff Edge Wedding Photographs
I’m so happy that Elizabeth and Peter didn’t mind walking through the rough pathways and climbing over walls to get to the cliff edge for some amazing photos!! These two were so in love and natural in front of the camera, that I hardly did any posing. As this place was new to me, once we had photos by the cliff edge, I decided to take a little walk to see what else was about, low and behold, a lush field where there were amazing photo opportunities!
Anyway, I think I’ve talked/typed enough now, so I’ll leave the gallery over to you guys!
