What a beautiful start to this gorgeous wedding in the Gower, Swansea. With bridal preparations at King Arthur’s own cottage, it was nice to be able to stay at one location throughout the day. It also meant I was able to photograph guests arriving at the same time too.

With the sun shining, until the gorgeous ceremony, the rain made an unexpected appearance! Not to worry, as a professional photographer, I’m able to get those stunning wedding photos for you indoors too. It wasn’t needed though, as the bride was happy to go out in the rain for their group photos!

This was such a relaxed wedding, it was an absolute pleasure to photograph, no formal wedding breakfast, no speeches and no first dance. But the groom’s sister convinced them to have a first dance, and I’m so glad they did, as the photos turned out beautiful.

Joanne had been following my work up to her wedding, and have seen my signature rain photos, so when it was time for me to go, the rain had started again, what great timing to get that epic rain shot for them!

How did you guys meet?

We first met on 1st June 2014. I was out on the motorbikes with my friends when we all ended up following a van back to a house and having coffee with the guy who lived there. the reason for the visit was to see this guy’s new bike. little did I know it was a set up ,(by our witness alun nurse) the guy was paul. I thanked him for the drink and went home.the next day I received a text from him asking me out and the rest is history.

When did you know he was the one?

I knew after the 1st few months that I was falling pretty hard for this guy.I have never met anyone quite like him.

How did he propose?

Paul proposed on Xmas morning 2017 over a cup of coffee in the kitchen.we had agreed no presents and he said oh I just got you one thing.he gave me a box and I still had no idea what it was.it was a box in a box etc.once I realised what it was I looked up at Paul and he just awkwardly asked ..will you marry me.

What one thing do you love most about each other?

for me I love that everything is so easy together? we both have busy lives with work etc but we have the motorbikes in common and we share that passion?i also love that we trust each other completely and understand that it’s good to have our own lives also.

Besides getting married – whats the one thing you are looking forward to on your wedding day?

Well besides getting married ,I was looking forward to just kicking back, relaxing and having a fab time with all the people we care about the most in the world so in one place AND having the most amazing pics taken to look back on our special day.
