Patricia and Toby’s Celtic Manor Wedding
Newport, South Wales Wedding Photography
I’m a little late posting this wedding, I was lucky enough to document Patricia and Toby’s Wedding in Newport at the end of August, not long after lockdown was lifted and social distancing was but into place for weddings. I hadn’t photographed a wedding for a whole 5 months!
It wasn’t really any out of the ordinary for me, although I haven’, as I have photogaphed small weddings in the past. It was just the social distancing I had to get used to, but that didn’t take too long, as I’d been donig that during lockdown when I had to do the weekly shop anyway!

Anyway, what can I say? What a beautiful and intimate wedding we had here at the stunning Celtic Manor Resort, South Wales. Everyone seemed so calm on the day, eventhough our lovely bride was camera shy, it didn’t seem that way, she soon opened up and looked amazing for the camera.
Group photos were a bliss to do, no shouting and organising large groups! Everyone was in the same social bubble, so there was no difference for me to be photographing and organising people who were social distancing. And with my telephoto lens, I was able to keep a distance whilst making memories for the newlyweds!
I was limited with locations to shoot, as outside had a very small gardened area and a car park, but I managed to capture some beautiful portraits outside, and some epic and creative images inside!
Take a look below for my first “post-lockdown” wedding!
