Okay, okay, I know it’s currently June! But I was asked not to post any photos of this wedding, until I had the go ahead. As Stephanie and Ashley were due to get married (second celebration) in Italy for their destination wedding in May this year, but due to the coronavirus, it was unfortunately cancelled. Not to worry, there is always next year, Italy will still be there!
Although I’ve visited Cardiff Castle a few times, I’ve never actually had the pleasure of photographing a wedding there. I’ve been told by a few fellow photographers that it’s a dark venue, and it’s only lit by candle light. But that’s absolutely fine, as my cameras are professional grade cameras, and I’m able to photograph in very low light, I also bring my own portable studio lights with me too, want to know more? Why not read about how I photograph your wedding day.
With it being Christmas Eve, and the ceremony at 3pm, we still had some natural daylight for when Stephanie was arriving at Cardff Casle, so it was nice to be able to supply a mix of images for the lovely newlyweds.

This was a small wedding with close family only, so once the beautiful ceremony was over, we had a big group photo, a few other little groups, and it was time to get creative inside the stunning architecture of Cardiff Castle!
So we were led around the Castle by the staff for security reasons, but as usual, me being me, on the way there, we had to stop here, there and everywhere! I see oppotunities for photos everywhere!
Massive thanks to Stephanie and Ashley for being so chilled and relaxed about photos, it was one of the most important things on their list. I love it when couples really appreciate photography. Time flew by, as we had so many different ideas on what photos to take, and we even squeezed in time for more family photos outside and in the Castle grounds.
So if you’re looking for a Cardiff wedding photographer, make sure to check out my wedding photography portfolio, and if you like what you see, drop me a message.
